Love Is A Force

Wesak Celebration - April 28, 2012 - Masonic Center

“At the center of all love I stand and naught can touch me here and
from that center I shall go forth to love and serve.”

This thought, garnered from the old commentary of the Ageless Wisdom Teaching’s, is in itself inspiring. But, in today’s climate can such a lofty behavior be of practical value?

As we rapidly approach the “official” beginning of the New Age we find a series of planetary alignments that ceremoniously are to close out the Piscean Age. The first of these alignments occur on May 20th’s solar eclipse. The nearly total eclipse symbolically emphasizes the fact that in life, while producing a debilitating darkness at times, the stage is set that allows for a sudden moment of “enlightenment” to dawn.

A Thought on Balance

In my life, I am struggling to get out of a trap that our social psychology has created for all of us. The constant battle between two ideological concepts.

The first being the concept of goals, aspirations and eventual success. The quote that first comes to mind in trying to explain this is "The future belongs to those who plan for it". Now, I know this isn't ONLY an American concept, but it is a typical American concept nonetheless. We have this notion that life is a great,

Your Opinion Is Important!

Have you noticed lately, as if life, just for a moment, seems to look different in some way, kind of like you’ve suddenly stepped into the House of Mirrors at the carnival? Things you knew yesterday appear . . . for a brief moment . . . slightly changed . . . perhaps a little distorted. Shaking your head, as if trying to knock out the cobwebs, you look again, but the differences you’ve noticed remain. You wonder, “Is what I’m seeing really possible? These “strange” moments (spontaneously happening to everyone) reflect the

Expression Can Be Healthy!

I like to study metaphysics and spirituality because it helps me to understand life as a whole instead of me just believing that humans are insane and life is horribly unfair. I still believe these things of course, but understanding some of the whys and the hows has balanced things out for me. It has become a passion of mine to share some of the more interesting information I come across with others, in hopes that it could bring a new perspective or understanding.

2012 has a lot of hype around the glamour of “The End of The World.” This scenario is unlikely,

Pyramid of Self Evolution

I got to talking with a friend the other day who is going through a period of self evolution, like myself. He was describing his frustration because it feels like he has boundless energy to create, but can't find a productive outlet for it all. He told me that he has so much energy he “feels like he wants to build gigantic pyramids”. Then, while thinking about that, it struck me, how weak the idea of monuments really is. Rulers throughout time (including the Egyptian Pharaohs) have enslaved thousands upon thousands of workers and forced them to create gigantic stone monuments in memorial of their lives. Take a step back and think about that...

New Time

Historically, much of humanity's behavior has been like that of an animal caught in a trap, gnawing off its foot or paw to escape the jaws of death. It survives - limping along ever after. Adapting, but never again whole. Unable to attain the full expression of its true nature. Except that we,
