We will soon be coming up on the annual season of giving thanks for all of our blessings, giving of gifts, brotherly love and the desire for worldwide love and peace. Is it even possible that we could handle living in such a world? Would you be able to live in a world of true peace, selfless love, community, caring and total harmony?
I wonder if you can even imagine such a place. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine waking up to a day where the greatest conflict for you is the alarm going off. Your conflict with the alarm is only due to your extended enjoyment of the previous day. Your toughest decision is what to have for breakfast and plan for your meals. Your duties for today consist of being as creative as you possibly can in whatever endeavor you desire to pursue for the common good, with a group of people who have a passion for the same goal. Your daily challenge is to work with others who desire to accomplish the same goal for the community. To have open discussions without animosity, having true empathy for each point of view and receiving the same in return. Once you and those you are working with have attained as much as can be done in a day’s endeavor, you are then free to indulge in your own hobbies, research and social events, family, or to just be by yourself.
Now imagine that the same is true for everyone you have had contact with today. It is true for everyone in your community. Continue the thought to everyone in the state, even to everyone in the country and, yes, everyone in the world. It isn’t that everyone is the same or even follows the same path. We have learned to accept everyone for who they are and the path that they have chosen. Respect for your fellow human being is ingrained into every act of a thoughtful life. We share, we have pain that leads to our growth, we support each other, we are truthful, we ask for help when we need it, we do not judge. We are at peace in our lives, we are free.
Can you imagine? If you can, then spend a little time each day doing so. Feel the harmonic energy it brings you. Energy follows thought, Manifestation follows energy. If we each can think this for a little time each day, soon we are living a little of it each day and we pass the practice on to others, to our children, our grandchildren and subsequent generations. It will happen, it will come to pass and it will have started here. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me and you.
